The Girl Guides movement

After a few weeks of attending meetings you will hopefully decide to enrol and become a fully-fledged Brownie. Here, your Guider will ask you to recite the Brownie Promise whilst giving the Brownie salute.

I promise that I will do my best
To love my God,
To serve the Queen and my country,
To help other people
And
To keep the Brownie Guide Law

Listen to the Promise

Our Brownie Law

A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself
and does a Good Turn every day

At the Promise Celebration you will be given your Brownie Promise Badge. This is worn on your right. The three "leaves" remind you of each part of your Promise.

This badge shows everyone that you have made your Promise.

You will also be given a Six badge which shows which Six you belong to, a Pack name tape which gives you the name of your Brownie Pack and an area badge that shows which county you belong to. We belong to the Warwickshire Bears!

The last Brownie that enrolled in 1st Dorridge Brownies was Laura and she joined the Moles as her Six. Her enrollment was very exciting as our District Commissioner, Brenda, came to enrol her plus Wendy (Brown Owl) and Cathie (Snowy Owl) as Guiders. We won't say who didn't know her Brownie Law except that it wasn't Snowy Owl or Laura!

We have two new Brownies that are joining us after Easter, Emily and Anne-Sophie and hopefully they will be making their Promise in the very near future.
